How does Surfed In make money?
Surfed In is free during the MVP. The platform never takes a cut of work or content sales. Future revenue will come from optional features for independents — never from gating profiles or messaging.
The model
Surfed In is a public directory. It is not a marketplace and never holds money on behalf of users. When you sell paid content, the transaction happens on Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, Payhip, or your own site — Surfed In just lists it.
Why this matters
No take-rate means no incentive to lock founders out of LinkedIn or hide profiles behind paywalls.
